Partnership for After School Education

The Partnership for After School Education (PASE) is a child-focused organization that promotes and supports quality afterschool programs, particularly those serving young people from underserved communities. We do so by ensuring that the adults in children’s lives are prepared, trained, and capable of providing high-quality services. PASE was formed in 1993 to professionalize afterschool services so that providers could deliver consistent, high-quality programming to youth and increase their capacity to meet the needs of their communities. To accomplish our goals, PASE connects diverse stakeholders to develop consensus on priorities and best practices, and provides free expert training, resources, and management support designed to increase program effectiveness and efficiency. PASE’s programs remain responsive to the needs of the youth-services field, while maintaining a sustained focus on: college prep and success, summer learning, leadership development, STEM, youth outcomes, global learning, and principles and practices.

PASE developed the PASE Explorers program and curriculum to teach youth to develop websites that tell their community story. This project-based, global learning program can be adapted for the classroom.
