2017 NYC Computer Science Opportunity Fair
On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, nearly 2,000 NYC high school students and their teachers attended the fourth annual NYC Computer Science Opportunity Fair, hosted at the Armory Track in Washington Heights, Manhattan. TEALS (a Microsoft Philanthropies program) and CSNYC presented the event in partnership with Facebook, Microsoft and the NYC Department of Education, with contributing partner Goldman Sachs.
The diverse group of students represented 60 high schools from all five NYC boroughs. Schools were invited based on their participation in TEALS; NYC CS4All programs BJC AP Computer Science Principles and the Software Engineering Program (SEP); C/I; ScriptEd; and other CS and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
This year's CS Fair had several components including 100 exhibiting companies, colleges and extra-curricular programs, tech talks and panels, maker spaces, a student showcase and more! For details, check out the 2017 CS Fair Summary. Or watch the video summary!
