The Opportunity
We're looking for innovative leaders and educators to help us bridge the gap between tech and diversity by teaching Computer Science to young men of color for six weeks in our pop-up classrooms hosted at some of the world's top tech companies. Teaching Assistants will be responsible for supporting the Head Instructor in delivering ASC's SI17 Curriculum to a class of twenty students, while also managing the site teaching team.

What we’re looking for:
1-3 College Level CS Classes
Teaching experience preferred
Embodiment of the All Star Traits: Growth Mindset, Collaboration, and Hustle
Proficiency in at least five of the following skills:
Basic and Advanced CS
Command Line
Javascript, HTML/CSS
Large-Scale Project Planning
Wireframing
Website Development
Dynamic Websites
Debugging
JQuery
Node.js
Bootstrap
APIs
Github
Databases.

What you'll do:
Work on a small instructional team teaching a cohort of 20 All Stars
Learn alongside other educators in a week-long professional development pre-service experience and weekly feedback and evaluation meetings
Serve as cohort host for site guests and "chaperone" during off-site activities
Interact one-on-one with All Stars during office hours and other non-teaching time
Model All Star Code culture in the classroom: Dare Greatly. Celebrate Failure. Tell Your Story.
Evaluate and track quantitative and qualitative student progress
